ARMA (The Association of Residential Managing Agents) was founded in 1991 to set standards in residential block management, to promote professionalism in the sector, and to produce information and advice for leaseholders.

If you are a landlord looking to change your managing agents for a portfolio of block properties it is worth remembering that the residential leasehold sector remains unregulated.

ARMA managing agents are independently regulated; service charges are held legally and safely in a separate client bank account (which is required by law), and the fact that money is held securely allows you complete peace of mind.

An ARMA agent must prove they have two years’ experience in residential property management and have professional indemnity insurance to cover against inadequate advice and negligence. Charles Cox Ltd has over 10 years of experience in the industry.

All ARMA members must comply with 190 rigorous industry standards, these include being fully versed with the structure and meaning of leases and a thorough knowledge of Landlord and Tenant legislation.

We are pro-active in managing the maintenance and upkeep of our buildings’ exteriors and communal areas and have a surveyor, and trainee surveyor, on our team.
