Charles Cox is proud to announce our participation and commitment to the Wellbeing at Work Programme. The Wellbeing at Work Programme is funded and delivered by Public Health at East Sussex County Council. This initiative aims to foster a positive working environment that will benefit our staff and aims to improve productivity and workplace contentment.
Property management is a fast-paced and challenging industry, and we place the utmost importance on the wellbeing of our employees. Employee wellbeing has become a central focus for compassionate and forward-thinking organisations. We recognize the significant impact that employee wellbeing has on both personal lives and careers and, as a business, we want to do the best for our staff.
The Importance of Wellbeing at Work
In an era where a substantial portion of our lives is spent at work, employers wield significant influence over the health and happiness of their employees. Prioritising wellbeing enables organisations to tackle prevalent issues like mental health challenges, musculoskeletal conditions and work-related stress, consequently curbing long-term employee absences.
Recent studies reveal that 41% of employees have grappled with poor mental health due to work-related factors. In the UK, a staggering 14.3 million days were lost to stress, depression and anxiety in 2019. Moreover, aches and pains accounted for 28.2 million days of sickness absence, underscoring the urgency for proactive wellbeing initiatives.
